ABOUT: As part of Albuquerque Navy Week, a private, invitation-only media static display event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, 2022. The training squadron static display will feature two airplanes from the Navy. Southwest Aeronautics, Mathematics and Science (SAMS) Academy students will be meeting aviators from Training Air Wing Four, (TRAWING 4), one of five training air wings under the Chief of Naval Air Training Command.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 1230 to 1430

MEDIA NOTE: Tail number, cockpit and other aircraft are not allowed to be filmed or photographed during this event. Closed-toe shoes are required, as this is an active airfield. Media will be allowed to see a debrief of their safety protocol and preview the training aircraft. U.S. Navy officials and pilots will be available for interviews, pictures and videos for TV, radio and social media content.

The Navy Office of Community Outreach (NAVCO) connects Americans with their Navy. With most of the Navy’s personnel and equipment logically concentrated on America’s coasts, NAVCO oversees a number of community outreach programs designed to bring America’s Navy to cities throughout the country which do not enjoy a significant Navy presence.
