Things To Do Better With Your Content

Topics
Hey Google why does nobody comment on anything I post? What are some things I can do better with my content?
You can stop googling now, the SiarzaSD team is here to help. While we don’t have all the answers Google does, we pride ourselves on being able to deliver quality content that is unique to each of our clients. You could say our team knows a thing or two about what you could do better with your content. So, we’ve compiled a few topics that can help take your content to the next (more engaging) level.
Industry Differences
It would be a strange day to open up Facebook and see your local pizza restaurant promoting their new specials in a sad, concerned tone. “Our lunch special can help you lower your bad cholesterol, which is the leading cause of heart disease for Americans.” Would you want that pizza? Probably not. How about this pizza: “Come on in for our lunch special featuring a slice along with a heart-healthy salad!” Better right? Different industries have unique, and more effective voices that, for the most part, do not overlap.
Be mindful of your industry’s tone and voice when developing your brand’s content. A few questions to keep in mind would include:
- What info is my audience looking for?
- What am I trying to get them to do with this info?
- Do I want them pumped, intrigued, mad, motivated or engaged?
Video Vs. Still
Raise your hand if you have fallen into the rabbit hole known as Facebook Watch! *slowly raises hand* Video on social media can be some of the most engaging content that you can utilize for your brand because of how user friendly it has become and how easily a user can consume more content than before.
That is not to say there is less value for still images. It is still better to add an image than to post content without any visuals. That is because visuals are always more engaging than plain posts. They allow you to elevate your content and tell more of your story through images.
What is Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter?
For some this question is obvious, for others not so much. Small business owners are the superheroes who keep their team going, customers satisfied, and their business moving forward in the best ways they know how. Sometimes though, they are at a loss when it comes to promoting their business on social media. Our team has put together a basic rundown of the platforms that should be on your radar.
Facebook- Balancing your brand’s voice, visuals, and goals is a key part of each FB post.
Instagram- Visuals are the king of content on Instagram.
Snapchat- This quick delivery medium is all about capturing the moment.
Twitter- Short, sweet, and to the point call to action posts set the tone of this platform.
Content Development
So now you get the gist of the different platforms and what kind of content is best for you, right? (If not, that’s what we’re here for) Next step is to get organized and find a system of content development that works for you and your team. Find your process to find, define, edit, and publish your content. This is a process unique to your team. We have found several different softwares to assist our team in creating the best content for your clients. Our team has used several different content calendar platforms, but picking the best one for your team depends on your level of collaboration, content type, number of platforms and more.
